- Cobalt High Speed Steel (HSCo) Cobalt steel is a variation of high speed steel with a higher content of cobalt. It has a high red hardness that gives it much higher heat resistance. This allows tools made of cobalt to be run at faster speeds and higher feed rates.
- Straw Tempered Surface is a stress relieving bronze coating that provides heat resistance and lubricity. This is a normal surface treatment for HSCo drills.
- 135 Degree Split Point angle. reduces the amount of pressure needed to make the drill cut. The Split Point is also self centering which means the drill starts cutting exactly where is comes into contact with the material
- Ground flutes provide fast chip removal to maximize accuracy and efficiency
