By 1909 their product range had expanded to include pipe tools, vices, and bolt cutters, the first hand tools to bear the famous 'Record' brand.

Today their name has been forged, rolled and cast into millions of tools and has found its way into every corner of the world.

This sixteen acre site, which includes design, administration, warehousing and production, has recently been the scene of an extensive investment programme which has added 83,000 square feet of production area and more than double the warehousing capacity.

Of course, a massive investment such as this doesn't happen every day. The last occasion was the commissioning of their £6,000,000 Disamatic foundry. But investment in modern production machinery, handling and storage systems, computer aided design etc., is a contiguous on-going process. Their products may be traditional, but materials and production techniques are continually monitored and improved ensuring that their commitment to Quality, Good Value and Customer Satisfaction is second to none and will continue well into the next century.
